Agents are transforming workflows and team structures, equipping employees with new skills that help scale their impact. As part of the Microsoft 365 Copilot Wave 2 spring release last month, we introduced new capabilities and agents designed to power the next era of human-agent collaboration.
Today, we’re announcing the general availability of the Agent Store. In June, the Employee Self-Service and Skills agents will also be generally available. These prebuilt agents in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat help simplify workflows and support faster, more informed decision-making across your organization.
Easily find and access agents
With the new Agent Store you can easily find, pin, and use a range of agents. The Agent Store offers prebuilt agents developed by Microsoft available in Copilot Chat like the Researcher agent, as well as a range of agents from partners and your company’s custom agents. The Agent Store isn’t only for finding new agents, it’s also your go-to spot to quickly pull up agents you’ve pinned or use regularly. Everything you need for your daily work is right there and easy to access. This experience is now generally available, providing a single place for you to find on-demand expertise tailored for your needs in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app. Discover and start using new agents in the Agent Store today by selecting "All agents" in Copilot Chat.
Simplify IT and HR-related tasks with the Employee Self-Service agent
Finding relevant company policy and HR and IT support can be challenging and frustrating, resulting in wasted time completing simple tasks and resolving open questions. The Employee Self-Service agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat handles employee queries, process requests, and provides self-service capabilities on key HR and IT topics. This agent is connected to company knowledge sources and systems. It minimizes reliance on multiple support tools and reduces the volume of support tickets, to help organizations improve response times, optimize operations, and lower support costs.
The Employee Self-Service agent will be in public preview in August 2025. You can access the agent with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license or on a metered basis in Copilot Chat.
Assess organizational expertise with the Skills agent
When you need to find a colleague with a specific skillset or better understand the skillset of your workforce, it can be time-consuming and challenging to surface the right insights quickly. The Skills agent, powered by the new People Skills data layer, makes it easier to get to these insights. It enables employees to easily find experts in the organization, understand colleagues’ skillsets, edit their own skill profiles, and make informed decisions about skill development. For leaders, the Skills agent provides an up-to-date view of talent strengths and gaps, supporting more strategic workforce planning and helping uncover talent opportunities across their organization.
The Skills agent will be generally available in August 2025. You can access the agent with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.
