The older version of Whiteboard is still working for me on Windows 10. To do this I had to turn off automatic updates in the Windows Store, which means that on occasion I have to update everything else. Anything created with the new version will not display, just a note saying this bit of the drawing was done in the new version, use the web version to see it. I do not have the web version, as I am using an MSA.
If it has updated or borked your installation of the old version, your best bet is to use OneNote for Windows 10 as it has the same drawing tools. Ideally, since drawing in OneNote for Windows 10 is a better implementation than that in OneNote Desktop, they will keep those tools when the two products merge. Unfortunately, based on what they have done with Whiteboard and Windows 11, they will probably ruin OneNote as well. Then they will say it is better design guided by user feedback.
