Resolved: New apps not added in APP when targeting "All Apps" or "All Microsoft Apps"

Updated 9/11/24: We recently posted IT862136 on your Service Health Dashboard (SHD) that we identified an issue where newly added apps weren’t targeted automatically in Microsoft Intune app protection policies (APP) when the policy was targeted to app groups such as "All Apps" or "All Microsoft Apps". We validated and deployed a fix to all customers to resolve this issue, and all newly added apps are now properly targeted in APP policies.

    Does the "New Apps" shown here refer to the newly configured app to be distributed to Intune?

    If I don't add a "New Apps" in Intune, I don't need to do the workaround described on this page?

    "New Apps" refer to apps where the vendor has added support for App Protection Policies, and Microsoft has subsequently included these apps in the App Protection Policies’ app list.

    My Policies are targeting to Selected Apps only(Mainly Office 365 apps). Is it mean this workaround is not applicable to me?

    I have added android and ioS store apps in Intune on Monday. My current App protection policy is targeted to "all Microsoft apps". Do I need to follow the workaround?
