Updated 1/10/20 with new image and timeline

Updated 3/31/20 with new URL for Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center

We’re rolling out updated create and edit UI experiences to Intune on the Azure portal and the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center. This new experience will simplify existing workflows by using a format condensed within one blade. This update will do away with “blade sprawl” or any create and edit flows that require IT Pros to drill down into deep blade journeys.

In the full screen experience, you can create profiles or policies and assign them to users or groups in the same flow. We're rolling out this experience to various blades in Intune and you'll start to see this change in the January update to the Intune service.

As an example of what's coming, here's a walk through for the new flow when you add an app to Intune.

iosAddgif.gif

After going through the wizard and creating policies, you will see a summary page of all your profile settings. To go back and edit a created profile, you can click on the profile name > Properties, and edit any of the sections.

We’ll keep this post updated as we roll out the full screen experience to other blades in the Intune console.

oh my gosh I love this!! The best thing about it is that I can see an overview of every setting that is configured on a policy without having to navigate through all the sub-categories.

Looks awesome!

@Intune Support Team

Hi All,

I don't know if anyone else has come across this on the Azure Portal following the changes. Previously, when configuring an application configuration policy using the JSON script instead of the Configuration Designer. One could always view the JSON script within the window and edit it "on the fly".

Now it appears that when you paste the JSON code into the window, review+save; it applies to the app/device. However, if you need to go back in and edit it, selecting "Enter JSON Data" from the drop-down does not reveal your previously uploaded script, it produces a JSON template with none of your settings at all. This is happening across all our tenants and would like to know if we can configure them to assume the behaviours prior to the updates to the portals.

Cheers.

@Intune Support Team Similar behavior with the PowerShell scripts. The only option I have is to upload a .ps1 file, but then once it's uploaded, there is no way to see what's in the .ps1 file. It would be awesome to be able to edit the .ps1 file in the window, or at least download a copy of the currently active script.

@MoZZa, Thanks for reporting this! This was a known issue, and a fix was rolled out with 2002. If you're continuing to experience the same issue, could you private message us with additional details?

@Jason Tenpenny, This is the current behaviour for PowerShell scripts, and we appreciate your feedback!

I'm sure you know that we're always working to improve the end-to-end experience. Could you elaborate on this feature request via our UserVoice? aka.ms/IntuneUserVoice.
