Global Quiet Time Admin Settings

We’re recruiting volunteers in our early feedback program for the upcoming feature of Global Quiet Time policies. The global quiet time settings will allow M365 customers to enforce policies that limit notifications received during after-hours to protect their employee’s wellbeing. 

This feature allows admins to create the following type of policies to schedule quiet time which will automatically mute Microsoft Outlook email and Teams notifications on iOS/iPadOS and Android platforms.  

• Days of the week 
• Mute during certain hours or all day on selected days of the week. Note: Admin can decide if they want to allow end-users to override this setting. 
• Example: Mute notifications all day on weekends and/or 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday to Friday  
• Date range  
• Mute during the specified date range. 
• Example: Mute notifications for a company-wide break for a certain date range
