Today we have our friend Paul @Paulsur sharing an error that you could face when updating FSLogix and the way to solve it.

Howdy, Paul from the FSLogix Support Team here. Some FSLogix customers experience an issue where upgrading to the latest release fails with the following message: 0x80070666 Another version of this product is already installed.

This can even occur if the previous version was manually uninstalled first.

If one follows the installation process carefully, they will see an attempt by the installer to install

Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable 14.22.27821.

There are new versions of this redistributable in release that may be installed on the workstation.

This will cause the installation to fail. The work around is to uninstall both the x86 and x64 installations.

After you have removed the redistributable, start the installation of the FSLogix Agent.

The installation should complete successfully and also install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable 14.22.27821.

Microsoft Updates should update the Redistributable to the latest release. If you are going to require the latest release immediately, you can obtain them here:
