Hi all,
i have a serious problem migrating public folders from a Exchange 2010 server to a Exchange 2013 server as a first step before migrating to Exchange Online.
Some facts:
Exchange 2010 SP3 CU29 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard (with public folder mailbox)
Exchange Server 2013 CU23 on Windows Server 2012 Datacenter (with user mailboxes)
User mailboxes has been migrated without problems from 2010 to 2013
Public folder database is about 6 GB.
I followed the offical microsoft docs for a batch migration to migrate public folders to Exchange 2013 from previous versions.
Migration batch is starting and "synchronizing" until all elements of the public folder mailbox are synchronized. After the public mailbox is synchronized (the status is "synced") the migration batch is going to status "failed", because the notification email about the migration status cannot be sent.
Error message is "MapiExceptionSendAsDenied: Unable to submit message. (hr=0x80070005, ec=1244)"
I can start the batch again with the same result. At first synchronizing, after the mailbox is "synced", migration batch status is "failed".
Migration batch is created with the domain admin. Same problem occurs if i use another user with domain administration rights.
I do not need the notification mail, but the creator of the migration batch is automatically added as a notoficationemail receiver and cannot be removed?
Because of the status "failed" a cannot complete the migration batch and go further on in the steps of migration.
