Is it possible to disable the Managed Folder Assistant on only the Archive Mailbox - Exchange Online

Per the subject I'd like deleted items to not move to the Purges folder in the Archive Mailbox and my first thought is to simply disable the MFA on it. This will allow mailbox owners to always be able to recover their own deleted items. Legacy Retention Tags don't appear to be granular enough when applied to the Recoverable Items Folder, but I need to take a closer look at that. Thx.
