Unusual Uses of Excel

I use Excel to find hidden time series patterns in data by finding unusually high or low data points across mutliple columns (eg. months) of data. Attached is a sample output workbook with Data and a Chart summarizing the 7 distinct call patterns of residents who contacted a call centre for help over a 2 year period. All you have to do is summarize monthly activity for customers, product SKUS, stores etc. and then run the analysis. It's really neat how it works.
