We are committed to SCCM but are intrigued by CMG to complement it. What are the min requirements? Cost? Egress? Thank you.

Can we talk through exactly what requirements are needed to allow the sccm agent to deploy during ESP to a Azure AD only device. We are seeing various levels of success in our test tenant. We are keeping CMG / co management around to allow applications from both source and to run a task sequence.

We have not even been seeing the ccmsetup folder created, and we are just flying through ESP. Hard to track what isn't working.

To answer Danny's question - we are leveraging SCCM still to simply manage our transition to Intune as there are 1000s of packages.

Can you talk through CMG geolocation support? You only need one CMG, but you probably need more than one CMG connection point to support world-wide clients right?

For those leveraging Intune and Configuration Manager with co-management, at what level is a CMG required if all workloads are managed by Intune?

Troubleshooting Question: Question:  From the client on the internet, what is the best way to test connectivity to all required endpoints (URLS, Service Points) needed. Is there a script to show URLs are accessible? History:  Had CMG for awhile and proxies/firewalls were preventing full functionality.  Now policies are getting to the device, but not all Applications, SU, or WU content is downloading to the client.

How big of a project is transitioning an Azure Classic vm-based CMG to the new Azure VM management?
  • Welcome to this month's episode of Unpacking Endpoint Management. What questions do you have about simplifying the way you manage Configuration Manager clients over the internet? What about new device provisioning with co-management? Post your questions now so Steve doesn't have to grill Danny with his own. (lol)
