With the new school year ramping up, we’re excited to bring new features to OneNote Online that will enhance creativity, productivity, and collaboration in your school year.

1.    Insert Picture from Camera

The Insert picture from Camera feature makes it easy use your device’s camera to take photos of your world and place them on a page in your OneNote notebook.  This is a popular feature in OneNote for Windows 10, and we’re pleased to announce that it is rolling out for OneNote Online starting today. Simply move your cursor to the spot on the page where you’d like to put your picture, then go to Insert>Camera to take your photo.  You may have to enable camera support in your browser first; more help on that topic is available hereCamera demo.gif

2.    Emoji Keyboard

Also rolling out starting today is the emoji keyboard for OneNote Online.  Add some Ninjacat to your online notebooks with this fun tool that allows you to browse and insert the appropriate emoji for any situation. Go to Insert>Emoji to see a sample of what's available.  To browse the whole collection, choose “More Emojis” and the emoji keyboard will open.  You can choose as many emojis as you want, and if the emoji keyboard is covering up something important, you can click and drag the window to another spot on your screen. EmojiDemo.gif

3.    Auto correct

OneNote Online is giving you control of your autocorrect options.  Go to Home>Spelling>AutoCorrect Options to choose how you want OneNote Online to handle AutoCorrect and Auto Format options.  Fun fact: autocorrect will also convert punctuation smileys to emojis :)AutoCorrectFeatureDemo.gif

4.    Copy Link to Section

Now it is easier to share content with OneNote Online collaborators.  Right-click on a section you’d like to share and select “Copy Link to Section.”  This copies the section name and link that you can paste into any other OneNote Online document.CopyLinktoSection.gif

These features all start rolling out today and will be available to 100% of OneNote Online users in the coming days and weeks. Add some colorful pictures and emojis for extra flair in your school year.  As always, we look forward to hearing your feedback in the comments below or at @OneNoteEDU or @MicrosoftEDU on Twitter.
