Updating by the browser itself does not work with symbolic links.

I moved the Edge Dev folders to HD 😧 , and created symbolic links to them in the source locations:

But the update works when I run the MicrosoftEdgeUpdateSetup.exe file
Is it possible to tweak Edge so that it updates even if there are symbolic links? because there are countless applications that can, like Microsoft Office itself.

    I think that from version DEV build 96.0.1032.0 this problem was solved. At least from this version on, the browser started to update automatically.
    I will continue to watch the updates process in the coming weeks to see if the issue I reported doesn't reoccur.
