Why, hello there, Insiders! Welcome to October’s final Top Feedback Summary! We are moving around a couple things and adding on one new item, so let’s dig into it.
Being moved to Planned for December today is both Provide an option to prevent auto-play of video and audio when you open a website and Allow more top sites on the New Tab Page. As we get closer to December (and the end of 2020!), we should have more details on these feature updates.
We’re adding a new item this week to Under Review! Enable option to match Windows display language is new feedback that the team is looking at now, and we will share more once the team completes reviewing.
This week, we’re doing something slightly different. Vertical tabs is now rolling out to more users in our Canary and Dev channels via CFR. You can learn more about vertical tabs by checking out the Insiders forums post by William here. Because it is not rolled out to all users in Dev and Canary, we are keeping the item on this list as Planned. That's all for now, chat at everyone in next week's update!

Thanks for the update! about the newly added item "Enable option to match Windows display language"
is it really necessary? I mean on Windows I have multiple languages added and whenever I install Edge browser on a system for the first time, Edge automatically adds those extra languages to itself, by default: edge://settings/languages
and whichever language is the default on OS, is the default language for Edge too.
I think either this is already implemented in Edge or there is something missing about that feedback.
@HotCakeX ok thanks, so just a selection screenshot like macos is able to do. ok i think only in pc, because i still don't see it, no matter which browser i open.
seems nothing complex like what i reported edge before about the chinese browser (that offers something like macapps are able to do or some extensions too). seems not to be similar to maxthon too, but identical to what macos does.
maybe i understand wrongly. so now you want to add features like add circles or other geometric forms, pen, etc.. (like 360chrome, the chinese browser), right?
It's not finished yet, as the article says, they are still working on more features. the original web page inking in Edge legacy (based on EdgeHTML engine) had a lot more features such as: adding notes to parts of the web page, a button to take full screen capture, touch writing, highlighting tool etc.
on top of them, further features based on user feedback will probably be added too
Please don't add an ad blocker by default! The mobile one is really laggy. Instead i would appreciate to choose the ad blocker by my own like in desktop version!
Are you sure the existence of the ad blocker in Edge mobile is the reason it is lagyy and not the fact that it is using an old version of Chromium (version 77) ?
You misunderstood me, HoteCakeX. It wasn't my attention to criticize Edge mobile as a whole (whereby I'm also wondering about the version number). I focus on the built-in ad blocker, which I identified as the reason for laggy behaviour on several websites in the past. Although there has been an improvement so far, I would love to install expansions in general and ublock in particular.
I wasn't talking about criticizing either. what I asked was, how can you know the lag is because of the adblocker and not Edge using old Chromium version? how to identify that?
