Hello, Insiders! We appreciate your patience while waiting for this week’s update on your feedback. We have more updates and new items added this week, so on to it!

We have four items being added to our Planned status, three of which are brand new! For the fourth item, Provide run / open / save / save as options when downloading files is moving from In Discussion to Planned. We’ll update this once we know more about when we expect it will be implemented, so keep an eye out for updates.

The first new item this week is something we’ve seen feedback on regarding privacy: Enable automatic generation of strong passwords. Up next, Support two-page layout in PDF reader is something we’ve seen from users lately following our recent updates to PDFs. Lastly, we’ve noticed a trend in reports of settings not being honored, so we are adding Edge launches with previous session’s tabs when “On startup” setting is set to “Open a new tab” to the list this week. You can expect more updates for these items here first as we get them.

@MissyQ  Thanks for updating. Now for me the next 4 must have features are :

1.Bring the tab preview feature from the current version of Microsoft Edge. 

2.Ask users if they want to close all tabs when they close a browser window .

3.Provide an option to prevent auto-play of video and audio when you open a website.

4.Add the ability to ink on web pages.

Great list. Linux support and webpage inking are the killer features for me. I'm working with a multitude of different Windows and Linux machines ranging from tablets to full-blown workstations. Managing that much sets of favorites and so on does not work well. Having available a browser that is available on every machine and not that blown like another browser, named after a hot animal would be absolutely awesome.

For me at least, #3 is a most important one, right now I'm using two different extension's to prevent autoplay.

Please fix the horrible pdf performance at 4K resolution. It is lagging a lot when scrolling with a touchpad or gestures with touch-input. I am using a surface pro 6 and I dont want to lower my resolution just to have a lag free pdf-viewing experience. The old edge browser was very smooth at this resolution.

I am so happy that both Table of Contents and two-page layout is now planned. I switched from using Edge to Adobe Acrobat just for the TOC.
