UPDATE DEC 16TH: We wanted to share a brief update on history sync before we head off for the holiday break. While we are continuing to slowly roll this feature out to all users, it should be available for some of our Beta app users on mobile devices, and in our Canary, Dev, and Beta channels on Windows/Mac devices. This month, we are starting to roll this out to Stable users in certain regions, beginning with the UK. We expect to include additional regions throughout January, and will work to provide updates in these summaries as we get them.

Greetings, Insiders! This is the last major update we’re doing for the year of 2020! We will be back with your top feedback updates the first week of January 2021. Let’s jump in to the details for this week’s update.
First up, we have two items moving to Planned for January. Enable customers to pin sites to Start Menu in Windows we expect to be rolled out to everyone in all channels in January, however some users in our Dev and Canary channels should be able to use this functionality now. Users can also expect to see Edge should respect the default PDF viewer addressed in January.
As we continuously review the items that are on this list, we sometimes need to make adjustments. This is the case with Edge launches with previous session’s tabs when “On startup” setting is set to “Open a new tab”; after a careful evaluation, the team has decided to mark this item as Not Planned. This experience is a bug we are working with partners to resolve, however because incoming feedback we’ve received has significantly dropped and priorities have been adjusted, we wanted to be transparent with our status on this. If anything changes again as we evaluate the feedback you all are sending in, we will provide another status update.

@MissyQ -- would just be nice to have sync fixed permanently as it buggars up every update for me.
I tested creating a new Outlook.com account and that one works. Is there a way to remove all sync data from an existing account then start from scratch? Maybe killing all data will fix my sync issue. I know you cannot merge Outlook.com accounts so that does not help me either.

yes there is a way to start from scratch,
depending on which channel you are using, you might need to enable this flag manually: edge://flags/#edge-reset-sync
the "reset sync" feature is enabled by default on Edge canary.
Hi, Edge Dev build Version 89.0.731.0 Yesterday I got the same hard crash again, switched to regular Edge Version 87.0.664.66 for now. So far no issues.

I am using MS Edge dev on Linux from the day it was announced. It is getting better. Thanks to the devs, who are looking after that.By the way, MS Edge dev for Linux is one of the web browsers, I liked immediately. There are few things that don't work, such as partial popups (popups that comes on the same web page) that happens on shopping web sites, and open links from the web page by clicking on them. These are highly important, if one is using the browser for work. I have sent feedback, hope they are looked into.
There's also a problem with Bing search; it crashes most of the time, that is it gets stuck, and when it gets stuck the cpu use soars, the fans kick in. So, had to stop using Bing.

@MissyQthere was this super convenient feature where you would only need to click and drag to select a word or sentence and a tab of options would appear, like highlighting it, it's definition, to copy it or to make a note.

I'm delighted for Windows/Mac users, of course. Is there any plan/timetable for testing/rolling out sign-in/sync of any sort for Edge Linux? At present, Edge Linux blocks MSA sign-in and Edge Linux does not sync anything at all.
EDIT 2020-12-30: For those of you who are testing Edge-Linux, a number of us have discovered a temporary workaround that allows Edge-Linux to sync passwords, sign-in to your MSA and autofill your Edge synced passwords on Edge-Linux. The workaround is Microsoft Autofill, a version of Microsoft Authenticator designed for use as a Google Chrome extension. The extension can be added to Edge-Linux using the Chrome Web Store, and it works well, identifying and treating Edge-Linux as the Chrome browser. I've been using the product for a few days, and haven't run into any problems.
It was used to be you were forced to have the today’s bing image of the day. Or you could do focused. But now they let you choose. Yeah I don’t like the repeated walpapes as wel. Wish I could pick bing image or curated.
