Hello, Insiders! This is being posted up today outside of our Dev channel update, which isn’t exactly normal (what is anymore?). This is to help with balancing our workloads while I have the rest of the week off. Keep an eye out for Josh’s Dev channel update later this week. We have a few top feedback updates this week, so let’s just jump right into it!

First up, we believe we’ve addressed one of the main items of feedback regarding Provide different options for sorting favorites. The team posted an update here, and we’d love to know more of your thoughts about sorting your favorites! Head over to the discussion thread to join in the conversation.

New on the list this week is Voice search on google.com doesn’t work. We have been looking into this as a team, but this is the first week this has shown up on this feedback list. We’ll work to provide updates around this as we get them, and it's current status is Planned.

One of the biggest things we see in feedback is items related to PDF documents. We’re excited to let you all know that Enable navigation of PDF files via table of contents has been move from Planned to Planned for Summer today! Once we have more details, we’ll be sure to share those here.

Great news, looking forward for better Microsoft Edge.

Regarding to "Voice search on google.com doesn’t work" issue as workaround users might try use dictation feature in Windows 10 not only in Google but in any other website while we are waiting for fix.

Great to hear that you are actively working on the PDF reader.  This needs to be a key feature of Edge, with at least the same features as Edge Classic, Firefox and Chrome.

Its imperative for business users to have a high quality PDF reader built into the browser, so that we don't need to use Adobe.  Other missing features besides the Table of Contents include:

• Search menu
• Digital signature support - verification and signing
• Advanced fillable forms

Dear Microsoft® Edge™ developers:

We are really looking forward to download and install Linux versions of the New Microsoft® Edge™. 

But there is a problem which you must consider. Linux is not a single OS, but an OS family that is composed of many distributions. The package formats for different versions vary. For example, Debian based (e.g. Ubuntu) systems use .deb package formats. RPM-based (e.g. Fedora, openSUSE) systems use .rpm package formats. Arch and Arch-based systems (e.g. Manjaro, Artix) use pacman package formats (.pkg.tar.xz etc.). I would rather suggest using a universal package format, single executable file or install scripts such as .bin , .sh , or even better .AppImage to provide the installer package. This would be possible for ALL Linux users to install ,especially for advaced users who use Arch Linux, Arch based Linux, or even Gentoo and Slackware.

@Tom_Fox Do you mind sending me a private message with your thoughts fleshed out a little more around these? I believe that signature support is available because of the pen that's built in. I actually just used something similar this morning for my son's school work in our Stable build. He had a PDF for one of his projects, and instead of printing it out, I had him write on it and we saved it locally to share. Does this not work for you, or is there something around that you're talking about that I'm not understanding? The latter could totally be the case, so please correct me if I'm wrong!

@sgilder There's no real answer to this because there's definitely a few things that factor into that decision. Mostly, it's up to the owner, but we do follow up with people very frequently to provide these updates.

@David_H_1 You are the second person I've seen talk about this! I'm sure the team is already all over it, but once I have more info on the release I will try to remember to ask the team what packages we're going with and provide you all with those details here.
