The Microsoft Edge Drop feature is not working.

Copper Contributor

I'm using Edge Beta (Version 110.0.1587.35) and even after enabling Drop in the Experimental flags section, I'm not able to find the option in settings/appearance. I've tried disabling and enabling the flag, restarting Edge, restarting my PC, repairing the Edge installation, Reinstalling Edge. None of these worked. Can anyone help me fix this issue?

@LongClaw07O Microsoft Drop desapareceu atualmente do meu Windows Edge Beta e Dev e iOS Edge Beta, o Microsoft Drop está atualmente disponível apenas no meu navegador Windows Edge Canary

@R7anubis The links which you've provided here are used if Edge isn't launching, and as I've said above, I've even uninstalled and reinstalled Edge Beta several times. It didn't work.

But it is available, and working for one of my friends in Edge Beta. Also, drop is available in Edge Beta on Android. It just isn't working on my laptop Edge Beta.

@LongClaw07 I am facing the same problem and if you find a solution please let me know:)

There is a workaround. You can access Drop from Edge sidebar. If you go to Sidebar settings, there's a toggle to enable Drop.

@LongClaw07 Can't find it there

@Varun_101 See that '+' button over there, click on it and you'll find bunch of toggles, you'll find the toggle to enable Drop feature there.

Thank you so much. After more than a month of trying.. I first enabled the "edge drop" option from flags/experiments and still didn't see anything in the settings/appearance tab. But now it's working!

This also doesn't work on Android

Nevermind, found a fix, hadn't properly configured it on desktop

@LongClaw07 Thanks for the tip. My only comment is it sure is a sneaky way to get us to use the sidebar - LOL!
