New Tab shorcuts without background like on Mobile [Suggestion]

Brass Contributor

On the last build of Microsoft Edge the "tiles" were removed from the new tab page, from my point of view that change didnt help too much to make less notable the icons inconsistency. My personal suggestion  is remove the  shorcuts background just like in the mobile version. Beside the new tab in the mobile version of chrome, Edge one looks thousand times better.

You can make the background fully blank by selecting focused in the NTP settings menu on the top right corner of the New Tab Page, you can also do this in the custom menu in the NTP settings. The NTP settings can also be changed in the mobile version of Microsoft Edge.

When focused is chosen NTP settings, the background is black or white according to the theme selected. When focused is chosen NTP settings, the background is black or white according to the theme selected.

It would also be useful to have a setting that allows a new tab to automatically display a defined home page, rather than having to press the home button when the tab picture has loaded.
