New banner with Canary

Bronze Contributor

Hello

Recently with Canary, I have a banner that appeared with the indication "you'll need to add a Microsoft API key to your app, website or server"

Canary.PNG

When I click on the "Learn more.... "button to find out more, I get an error message on the new page => permanently-removed.invalid’s server IP address could not be found..

It's what ??

Thanks

I've updated to Version 126.0.2563.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit), and the banner issue is gone. I've tested it thoroughly: closed and reopened Edge, visited random websites, refreshed multiple pages, and still no sign of it. Looks like the problem has been resolved.

@Pete_FFC problem still exists on 126.0.2563.0.

Thanks for your feedback @Pete_FFC

@survivor303 Yes, still this banner with .2563 for me

Yep, still there in Version 126.0.2563.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit). I've dismissed the banner and restarted Canary and it still shows up...

After I restarted my pc and opened Edge Canary, the banner was back. However, I dismissed it, and it didn't return. Let's see what happens later after another restart.

@Pete_FFC let me guess.. It's still there?

yes, it's still there,126.0.2563.0, and NO update  :unamused: and the “automatic translator” doesn’t work again

Version 126.0.2566.0 The banner is still there, the automatic translator still doesn't work

Same here on mine, but only on start. Doesn't show on subsequent tabs

Microsoft Edge
Version 126.0.2570.0
The banner is still there, the automatic translator still doesn't work

If Microsoft doesn't get this thing under control, I will permanently delete Edge Canary.
Fixed
Version 126.0.2571.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) Banner is gone. At least for me it is...

It didn't stay gone for long. I got it this morning in the new tab page upon opening Edge Dev.

126.0.2566.1 (Official build) dev (64-bit)
Wait for the next DEV version then

Microsoft Edge
Version 126.0.2575.0 (Offizielles Build) canary (64-Bit) The “automatic translator” also works again
