For finding out that does Edge use much more battery,i restarted my mac and immediately launched both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and i have same extensions on both .I then opened the same webpages and duplicated them using the same extension in both(Chrome and Edge) and after all the tabs got loaded i just went to activity monitor and found out that Microsoft Edge Helper is using 85% of CPU whereas Chrome uses much lesser CPU,and then i found out that the average energy impact of Edge was double of chrome.
