Microsoft Edge Sync Issue

Copper Contributor

My Microsoft Edge on specific laptop keeps on having sync issue / logging out. (Not the website logout, the account on Microsoft Edge. It doesnt happen on other microsoft application.

The error is "We can't sync to your account since we need to confirm that it's you. Please sign in again to verify your account."

What is strange is that, it doesnt happen everytime I close and open the browser, or restart. It happens randomly. Even if Microsoft Edge is open (not being closed), then suddenly I noticed the "Sign-in" button is orange again and "We can't sync to your account since we need to confirm that it's you. Please sign in again to verify your account." if you hover the mouse.

It is quite annoying that it keeps on happening. Im not sure how to fix. I even formatted the laptop multiple times.

Any advise thanks. I tried How to Fix: Sync is Paused; Sign in again in Microsoft Edge (browserhow.com) this but still have made any changes.

Hi

@gh0stx

Open the Edge - Profile - allow automatic login, then set to single sign-on, write if it works.

@A1-A1 "Automatic sign in on Microsoft Edge" is already enabled but this still happen

@gh0stx

Are you signed in to the Microsoft Store?

Have you downloaded drivers from your computer manufacturer's website?

@A1-A1 logged in microsoft store, updated windows 11 to latest, updated all drivers via laptop software from manufacturer (Gigabyte Control Center).

I had multiple format but somehow it always still leads to this issue. Not sure whats wrong.

I have 2 other laptop that have no issue same account on microsoft edge being used.

Sorry, Windows privacy settings, (account information) allow apps to access, should be enabled.
