Manifest v3 timeline
Google recently announced that the deadline for transitioning Chrome extensions to manifest v3 is being pushed back:
https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/mv3/mv2-sunset/
Will Edge be following the same revised timeline?

peterbloomfield Looks like various app Developers already started to rewrite their browser extension.
Received a mail from SIMKL yesterday that, emphasizing the need for manifest v3 update. I wonder how, Edge extension maybe effect by this.
- dftf-wipIron ContributorAs Edge inherits parts of its codebase from Chromium and Chrome, then any delay to this by Google will affect all other browsers which use its codebase (such-as Edge, Vivaldi, Brave and Opera; basically, anything except Safari and Firefox)

So Manifest v3 = RIP Chromium Project ?
- peterbloomfieldCopper ContributorThanks for your reply. Unfortunately, the issue isn't just limited to the Chrome/Chromium codebase. We publish our Edge extension through the Microsoft Partner Center, and enterprise customers deploy it to their devices from there. We need to know how long that route for hosting mv2 extensions will keep working.
Additionally, it's always possible that Edge will do things differently from Chrome. Ideally, I'm hoping for an official announcement so that we can reliably do our business planning.
