Language sync between Edge & Win
Good day Is it possible that Edge Chromium takes the language from the operating system ? Windows 10 is in French = Edge is also in French Many thanks
gardenzwerg Thanks for reaching out! The quick answer is that it can. Are you able to share more details about your scenario or what you're encountering? We currently have some known issues around language settings.

Deleted we can only set 1 Language per user in the registry:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge
REG_SZ: ApplicationLocaleValue

if we set english per registry, the user does not have the possibility to change the language
example: we add englisch in the registry but the user wants german or french, he can change, but if he restart the browser, englisch come back as default

gardenzwerg Thanks for your patience. Here are some thoughts from the team:
- Microsoft Edge, on Windows, does not respond to the OS language being changed. Details can be found here.
- It looks like you're setting the MSFT Edge display language policy to English, which would block you from changing the display language to German or French
- Can you tell us more about why you're setting that policy? And do you want to give your users the ability to change the display language of the browser?
