How to prevent the frequent "Confirm your account details to sign in" in Edge Browser?
- It seems there has been a changed between Edge 116 and 117 and I am trying to find what this is to see if there is a GPO setting that controls this behaviour. The issue is that navigating to a site would previously display the pop up "Confirm your account details to sign in" only the first ever time you access a certain site, however, this has changed with Edge 117 and this seems to happen every time accessing the same site now. Rolled Edge back to 116 and confirm the behaviour doesn't happen, and upgraded to 118 and confirm it does what 117 does.
Looking to find what setting I need to tweak to arrest this behaviour as it is causing issues.
Thank you

It sounds like the behavior change in Edge 117 and 118 might be linked to stricter security or session validation settings. To prevent the frequent 'Confirm your account details to sign in' prompt, you could try these steps:
- Check GPO Settings: Look for any new group policy settings related to user authentication or session management introduced in Edge 117+. Adjust them to reduce unnecessary prompts.
- Cookies and Site Data: Ensure cookies and site data for the specific websites are set to 'Allow' under the browser settings, as clearing these frequently might trigger reauthentication.
- Edge Profiles: If using multiple profiles, ensure you're accessing the site from the same profile to maintain session consistency.
- Feedback to Microsoft: Report this as a potential bug or a feature regression if no settings resolve it.
For sites involving sensitive data, like public records on arrests.org, this prompt could be a security feature. However, for routine or trusted sites, it might just be an inconvenience. Adjusting your browser policies or whitelisting trusted sites could help minimize this issue."
