Edge browser with two close buttons

Hi,

I'm using the latest Edge version

I'm seeing two close buttons for every tab. It is becoming risky for me to open the tab. Is there a way to remove such feature from browser? Below is the screenshot of what I see for each tab.

This is due to the touch mode. Turn this off to remove the 2nd close button
