Good to see that the ability to change the name of the top site tiles on the NTP has appeared (but not mentioned in the first post, unless I missed it even though it was on the Top Feedback list). Could do with increasing the size of the 'hotspot' for the three-dot menu on each tile a bit - on nearly half of them I actually triggered the loading of the link rather than opening the menu so I could edit the tile name.
Could still do with the ability to add more top site tiles to the NTP. Giving an option for one or two rows like Firefox would be OK, though personally I'd like to be able to set the number of columns and rows within some limits - my personal preference is for two rows of 6 tiles each.
I do now use chromium Edge (usually Canary) instead of Google Chrome for those rare pages that won't function in some important way in Firefox (mostly a few sites where embedded videos don't play in Firefox; rarely where e.g. some drop-down menu won't drop down). But if you want me to use it as my browser for normal browsing there are two vital (for me) things needed, one from you and one from your Android Edge colleagues. (1) As I've said many times before, I need middle-clicking on a favorite in a favorites menu to open the favorite in a new tab but also LEAVE THE FAVORITES MENU OPEN - as in IE, classic Edge, Firefox, and every browser I've chosen to use as my main browser since around 2005 (as I simply won't choose a browser that doesn't do that). If you can't give me that I will never use Edge as anything but my rarely needed Google Chrome replacement for odd pages. And if there is some technical reason why it can't be done, PLEASE say so ... although I'd find it hard to believe as CTRL-clicking a favourite in a favourites menu opens it but leaves the menu open, so it's a supported action you just need to tie to middle-button click as well (or something else that is easy to do one-handed, which CTRL-click isn't - I'm disabled, have my laptop off by my right knee, and sitting up and using two hands is very painful). (2) Your Android Edge colleagues need to give an option to move the control bar to the TOP as I hate and simply won't use phone apps with bottom controls. Android Google Chrome can have the control bar at top (still currently by default) or bottom via a flags setting. Firefox Preview - a complete rewrite of their mobile browser which will replace the current mobile Firefox in due course - appeared with bottom controls only; but I complained in the feedback, and lo and behold the new version that appeared last month has a setting that will switch the control bar to the top as I'd asked. Android Edge is lagging out of step on providing the choice. And the advantages of using the matching brand browser - syncing favourites, passwords, open tabs etc - is such that even if you 'fix' desktop Chromium Edge for me the way I require (Middle button on a favourites menu leaving the menu open) there's no chance of me using W10 chromium Edge as my regular laptop browser if Android Edge remains unusable for me on my phone because there's no option to move the controls to the top.
So currently both W10 chromium Edge and Android Edge have (completely different) absolute deal-breaker issues for me. Doesn't matter what else you guys to them, if there's no middle-button leaving favourites menus open in desktop Edge AND/OR no option for top controls in Android Edge, then I'll be staying with Firefox for laptop and phone.
