Dev Channel update to 114.0.1793.0 is live

Hello Insiders! Today, we are releasing build 114.0.1793.0 to the Dev channel. It is a small update compared to last week. For more details on the changes, check out the highlights below. Additionally, we have four new short YouTube videos that showcase some of the browser’s existing features.

Improved reliability:  

• Fixed browser crash when clicking on the Workspaces menu after exiting full screen mode.
• Android:
  • Fixed Read Aloud crash.
  • Fixed browser crash when tapping the Clear button on History hub.
  • Fixed browser crash after tapping on Undo after closing all tabs.

Changed behavior: 

• Fixed can’t mute audio on inactive tabs with Vertical tab.
• Android:
  • Fixed white blank wallpaper after existing Wallpaper center.
• WebView2:
  • Fixed EnsureCoreWebView2Async not completing the load operation (#3375)

The pinned favorites, etc. still overlap with the main browser display. The whole panel is offset to the left, leaving a very wide border of unused space.

The Sidebar rendering artifacts issue, which emerged in the previous version, has not been fixed in this release alas.

As you can see in the screenshot below, parts of the scrollbars of the underlying webpage still show through in the top-left of the Sidebar:

Now I can't copy text in a link, nor can't I drag and drop onto vertical tab. Felt like Edge is regressing.

In the Dev version the popups in edge like History, Downloads and Extensions were rounded until version 114. Is this intended?

@Eric_E I still do not see the option to allow favorites to open in a new tab.

@Eric_E There are still strange rendering artifacts on the title bar, under the minimize, maximize, and close buttons.

@Eric_E AV1 is still disabled, same with HEVC. When you'll renable it?

@Paul_VC The engineering team is still working to resolve this. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we fix the problem.

@formula1551700 The engineering team found some bugs and had to roll back the feature. Unfortunately, we don't have an estimated date for when the feature will be reinstated. They suggest using the CTRL/Command + Click on the favorite to open it in a new tab.

What happened to the ability to detach Sidebar?

@Eric_E Um, maybe a bit off topic, but do you have any information on what has happened to the Edge bar (I mean the standalone mini browser, not the side bar)?
It was a very nice and useful feature, but it's missing since 3 or 4 major versions. Has it been discarded or just temporarily removed for bug fixing? I remember there were some glitching issues right before it was removed. Would be great if you could give us a short update on this, thanks :)
