Collections are slow to open

I'm now totally sold on using collections, but they are sooo slow to open. When I first open them, it takes 3-4 seconds. Subsequent opens are faster, but the UI kind of gets built (vs just appearing). I would like to see a faster response time on the collections UI.

I'm in the same camp.

I used to use a Folder and then right-click > Open All.
I've migrated one of my 'daily startup' group of links into a Collection.
Just the time to open the Collections tab kills any time saving over using a Folder.

They definitely need improvements on their load times. Collection flyout and History flyout both.

Same issue here. It hasn’t been a problem only after accruing lots of websites. A collection folder of mine holds approximately 250 pages. Opening the panel takes way too long and it even freezes my PC for a little while. Adding a new page to that large list has the same stalling effect. Coupled with the missing search button or the ability to remove duplicate pages, I can’t see how this would be a useful function.
