Q: We installed the Windows OS DST 2007 updates, but we haven't run anything else.  We weren't sure on what we needed to run next.  What is the rebase tool?
A: This refers to the Outlook Time Zone Data and Exchange Calendar update tools, both used to rebase an end user’s (customer) calendar items that fall in the extended DST period (the last three weeks in March and the week that falls between the last Sunday in October and first Sunday in November) and were created before applying the OS updates (KB 928388 or KB 931836). These are optional tools: user can also manually change their calendar items if it has wrong time for the extended DST period.
