Microsoft is preparing an update to address recent time zone data changes in Turkey, Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Fiji. Details are as below:

  • Turkey will end DST two weeks later than normal. Clocks will turn back one hour from 04:00 to 03:00 on Sunday, November 8, 2015.

  • Democratic People's Republic of Korea has implemented its own time zone with UTC +8:30.

  • DST in Fiji will start on Sunday, November 1, 2015 for an eleven-week period. Clocks will move forward by an hour at 02:00 to 03:00 on November 1, 2015 and move back one hour from 03:00 to 02:00 on Sunday, January 17, 2016.

Microsoft is planning to release this update on Hotfix server for Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 on October 20, 2015. An update to Windows 10 that addresses the time zone changes in Turkey will be made available on the catalog on the same date. Another update to Windows 10 will be offered through WU on October 27, 2015, which will address the other changes.
