The Palestinian Authority has decided to delay the start of Daylight-Saving Time (DST) in 2024 and 2025. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the Palestinian Authority has conveyed this decision in an article dated January 30, 2024.

This moves the DST entry date further away from and the Eid ul Fitr holiday, which marks the end of Ramadan.

The Palestinian Authority also announced that the 2025 DST date will be delayed by one week.

The impact of this change is as follows:

  • Clocks will be set forward 1 hour on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM local time.
  • Clocks will be set back 1 hour on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 2:00 AM to 1:00 AM local time.

Microsoft is releasing the below Windows updates in support of this decision. This change is available in the March 2024 non-security preview update, released on March 26, 2024, for the newer versions of Windows 10 and 11. All other supported Windows versions will receive the update as part of the next monthly quality update scheduled for release on April 9, 2024.
