SSO and Azure Active Directory

We are being asked to implement SSO for a non-gallery application, and have never set up SSO.  While we do have Azure AD, we have been asked to provide 'An Apache-loadable module (in binary form) implementing the local SSO method, including any supporting files.'

Can anyone point me in the right direction?  Thanks.
