Azure DevOps Capacity Planning for 2 Weeks Sprint

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I have a typical situation. My sprints are of 2 weeks time (Ex: 08/14/2023 to 08/25/2023).

Dev-1 started from Day-1 and for 1st week we need his 6.5 Hrs per day but for the 2nd week, we need his 3.5 Hrs per day.
Dev-2 started from 2nd week in the team and his capacity should be 3.5 hrs per day.

For Dev-2 it is easy as we can make his off day for the 1st week.
But not sure how to configure for Dev-2. Please suggest.

Thanks,

Prabhat

Solution
The sprint capacity breaks down by day, but the work detail totals the capacity to the current date.
Dev 1 has a total capacity of 50 hours for the sprint (3.5 *5) + (6.5*5). Divide 50 by 9 days and that's 5.5 hours per day with one day off. Enter the day off in the days off column.
Dev 2 has five days off this sprint. Enter the days off in the days off column. The other days the dev is working 3.5 hours per day.
