Azure Database for MySQL and Wordpress

Copper Contributor

I have created a new Azure MySQL Server and want to create a new "Wordpress" webapp selecting that newly created MySQL server instance within the same Resource Group.

The deployment is done successfully and the wordpress files are there and the database has been created onto my MySQL server, BUT the database schema has no tables.

When I do the another new wordpress webapp, butselecting to create a new Azure MySQL server, it creates the database correctly.

What would be different / wrong in that setup? I really would like to host one Azure MySQL server hosting multiple wordpress databases.

Any direction would be great.

Hi,

I just have a guess - the setup against the existing server does install the tables because the idea is that there is also an existing Database with tables. Can't you do a new dB initialisation out of the WordPress Installation against the existing Server?

It is just an idea...have to Check this out....
