Trouble Connecting to Windows Virtual Desktop

I am having trouble connecting a new user to a Windows Virtual Desktop we have setup in Azure using the new GUI. I have assigned this user with a Microsoft 365 F3 license and logged them into the web portal in order to access a Windows Virtual Desktop that others are already using. 


I am receiving an error message that it couldn't connect to the gateway because of an error. I have attached a screenshot for reference. 


The user was given access to the resource since they can see the resource when logging in through the web portal. It's just when I try to log this user on that I get that error message.

I figured this out. We needed to have the user synced with active directory. A cloud only account will not work with Windows Virtual Desktop.
