FSLogix 'TimedWriteCache.cpp(1376): [WCODE: 0x00000005] TimedWriteCache failed
Hi,
We can't tell if we are having a problem or is one of those errrors we can ignore. Recently we have been getting these errors for the majority of users. Seems to occur a couple of minutes after they log in.
This is the main one that seems to keep cropping up.
[Provider 1: 2203583274462716642] exception in service ('5'). Exception: 'TimedWriteCache.cpp(1376): [WCODE: 0x00000005] TimedWriteCache failed to replace control file.' (Access is denied.)
Cloudcache is used, two provider azure file shares. We have reset the profile on both file shares. It seems to recreate but get these errors.
We also get:
Send blocks: Write to write cache failed. TimedWriteCache.cpp(1376): [WCODE: 0x00000005] TimedWriteCache failed to replace control file. (Access is denied.)
I have upgraded FSLogix to the latest release thinking it was some kind of bug with cloud cache. But the errors continue.
I have googled this a lot but haven't found any information about it.
Anyone come across it before?
- Soo Kuan TeoMicrosoftThank you for reporting! We are sorry that you are hitting it. We are aware of the issue and currently working on the fix. thanks again.
- KevHalIron ContributorThanks for the response and known issue, just to add if it helps, they have Cloud Cache, but the also had Read/Write enabled. Thought this may have caused the issue, so have disabled the read/write as they don't require concurrent connections and set profile type back to normal-direct.
However the errors are still present. Checked the FSLogix logs and it pretty much says the same thing as the event log, nothing specific on what files its trying to work with.
