Frontline Cloud PC dedicated Mode Session time out settings
Hi,
I would like to understand how Session disconnect policy works for Windows 365 CloudPC frontline dedicated machines when user session is disconnected for more than 2 hours and if we have session disconnect policy set via intune for 8 Hours.
will it still disconnect the session by Microsoft using default disconnection policy for Frontline cloudpc or my intune policy of 8 hours should overwrite the 2 hours timeline.
Currently in my case even after setting disconnection policy for 8 hours it gets disconnected in 2 hours if I am not using my physical machines for more than 2 hours.

Seems the most straightforward way is switching to Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PCs, which don’t enforce the same 2-hour disconnect rule.

For Windows 365 Frontline Cloud PC in dedicated mode, Microsoft’s built-in 2-hour idle disconnect policy takes precedence over custom Intune session timeout settings, so even if you set an 8-hour disconnect policy in Intune, the session will still disconnect after 2 hours of inactivity. This is by design to optimize resource usage for Frontline licenses, and the default 2-hour limit cannot be overridden.

is there any Microsoft documentation that support this statement, as I could not see any that says microsoft default policy overwrites the intune policy
