It is a standard application behavior on macOS that when you right-click on the Dock icon for an application, the pop-up menu will include links to recently used items. For example, right clicking on Finder will show recent folders, and right-clicking on Apple's Screen Sharing app will show show recent connections. Implementing this in Microsoft Remote Desktop for macOS would be very convenient.
