Hello,

After updating to the latest version, we have a problem connecting to the RDP server. All the time we get this message:

0x3707

An authentication error has occured, possibly because NTLM authentication was blocked on the remote computer

Could you please help us how to fix it? We tried another app and it worked fine.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Jan Drastik

Have same problem.

Same here. Either something has changed on the Windows box, or on the Mac client....

It appears that Remote Desktop Client for Mac 10.9.5 is not having this issue, but 10.9.7 does.

Has anyone figured out a work around to this yet? I can't work as long as this issue persists.

Copper Contributor

this worked for me:

Same problem here.

Not hearing anything from Microsoft is disappointing. Is the RDP Client a second class software?

Do we have a solution yet? the above link for version 10.9.6 dose not work for me as well-

Download the Beta of the 10.9.6 from this page and it works. Until MS can figure it out. In Beta 10.9.8 the problem exists.

It will dowload the 10.9.6 version. Worked for me.
I changed the link redirect from https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=868963 .
Looked at it with curl -I and chnged it to .6

A colleague just hit the same problem, downgrading from 10.9.7 to 10.9.6 fixed it. This is when connecting to a hybrid-joined Windows machine. I'm not sure what changed with 10.9.7, but there's a regression

Microsoft

thanks for reporting the issue. we are working on a fix

Microsoft

@mamoreau @Jan_Drastik could you please try the latest macOS beta client version 10.9.8 (2217) from aka.ms/rdmacbeta

Copper Contributor

The beta client 10.9.8 (2217) fixed the problem for me.

Microsoft

thanks for the confirmation. 10.9.8 (2217) will be available in appstore soon

Hey folks - I am still seeing this issue using 10.9.8, and the 10.9.9 beta. 10.9.6 works fine. I am connecting to a windows server with NTLM denied locally. UPN works fine on 10.9.6 but using any newer client I get the error posted at the beginning of this case.

Copper Contributor

I'm using 10.9.9 and start to unable to connect to any host after this last update (23/07/2024). Trying Beta 10.9.6 and it is the only working right now.
