Supercomputing (SC) is one of the biggest events of the year for those in high performance computing, and we’re looking forward to connecting with you in person at the event. As we continue to plan, we’ll keep updating this blog so keep checking back to see the latest information around what’s planned, and how you can connect.
Held in Dallas, Texas, this year, SC is an international conference for high performance computing, networking, storage, and analysis. It’s one of the largest conferences in the world, hosting thousands of students, exhibitors, and presenters. Coming to the event are researchers, scientists, application developers, computing center staff and management, computing industry staff, agency program managers, journalists, congressional staffers, and more. If you work in high performance computing or you are an enthusiast, this is an event for you.
This year we’ll be at booth 2433, a large 50x50 booth located on one of the main walkways right near the entrance to the exhibitor hall. You can expect to meet both technical sales and engineering Microsoft Azure HPC experts at our booth, in addition to several partners. Within our booth we’ll have hardware for some of our newest virtual machines for you to see up and close. Visit sessions in our booth to enter for a chance to win a prize, watch demos, hear about our newest product releases, have conversations about the latest work being done in the HPC space, and hear from partners that are leveraging Microsoft Azure to help customers unlock their innovation.
We're going to be hosting a caricature artist that will capture your likeness during the event. The caricature artist will incorporate your likeness with some imagery that promotes the newest RenderMan Challenge, put on by Pixar each year. What to know more about the challenge? Make sure to ask while you're in the booth. So, make sure to come on by and create a new memory with us!
We know events are entertaining, but also downright exhausting. Stop by our booth to find a great space to relax and get off your feet. We'll even have some coffee for you to enjoy while recouping or networking.
It simply would not be a Microsoft booth without our booth theatre! Stop by to hear sessions from Microsoft experts and our partners. Learn, engage, and ask questions. Here's the schedule!
Our newest update! We'll have a joint booth with NVIDIA at the event, so make sure to stop by booth #2409. We'll have special presentations in this booth as well - see the schedule below.
Make sure to take part in our challenge for a chance to win an NVIDIA Jetson Nano! We'll have a large old school chalkboard at the booth for you to create a drawing showing what "Make AI Your Reality" means to you, whether that's a robot, an architecture diagram, a picture of data, anything.
Here's how it works:
1. DRAW: What does "Make AI Your Reality" mean to you?
2. POST: Post your picture anywhere on the internet to commemorate your experience, using #MakeAIYourReality
3. SHOW: Show your post to a Microsoft or NVIDIA representative for a raffle ticket
*Raffles will be drawn each day at the end of the day, so please make sure to stop back for the drawing. Tickets will be rolled over each day, so if you didn't win, you'll have more chances each day!
Keep an eye here for the most up to date schedule. These are still being finalized, so we'll be adding the remaining days soon.
We're excited to announce that we'll have an after-hour event hosted with AMD this year at Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse. There will be networking, barbeque, coctails, and more. The event is already sold out, but we'll keep doing these at future events, so keep an eye out for future events and feel free to email AzureHPCEvents@microsoft.com if you'd like to be put on the waiting list.
Location: Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse
Date: November 15, 2022
Leveraging Azure HPC to easily onboard your critical HPC workloads in the cloud
Azure high-performance computing (HPC) provides a complete set of purpose-built computing, networking, and storage resources integrated with workload orchestration services for HPC applications. This workshop will dive into these capabilities, how you can onboard quickly by building a highly optimized production ready Azure HPC environment and there will be a hands-on lab deploying a complete HPC cluster solution ready for users to run applications, which is easy to deploy and manage for HPC administrators.
We have two opportunities for you to participate in this workshop:
