I personally think Microsoft is delaying Windows 12 so older CPUs naturally age out. If they wait long enough, dropping support for Intel 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th gen processors will cause less backlash because those CPUs will be considered old by the time Windows 12 launches.

I’m using an Intel Core i5‑10400F right now, so I really hope it will still be supported.
