MicrosoftTop Feedback Summary for August
Hey there, Insiders! This week’s update moves one item out of July and to October, but we also wanted to provide an update to the cadence of these posts. Insiders like yourselves are used to seeing us update this weekly, but y’all may have noticed we haven’t had major updates over the past few months. Because of this, we evaluated the cadence we have updates for these items and decided we will move these updates from weekly to monthly. The subject of these posts will reflect the month that we are wrapping up, rather than the date they were posted on going forward. We will post these updates inline with our Beta channel updates going forward, which is now moving to our 4-week release schedule. We appreciate the understanding here, now for the feedback update!
During our initial rollout of Allow users to get back to where they left off in PDF documents, we spotted some issues that needed to be investigated. We’ve decided to push this feature improvement back a little bit as we work on addressing these and ensuring there’s a smooth experience for users. We are setting this to Planned for October for now, though some of our Insiders in Canary may already see this.

Hi MissyQ,
It is really helpful to get the “web capture” functionality in MS Edge. Thanks to the hard-working Dev team. However, my transition from Opera to Edge is not entirely smooth as I am still going back to Opera to rely on their efficient built-in web capture. So I would like the dev team to review the comparison below where I am using the screenshot to relay the “new feature” request to them. Hopefully, this request (upgrading MS Edge’s web capture to include additional tools) will find its place in their to-do list. Thanks.

Putting jokes aside, the screenshot is part of other feedback of mine. The hand writing explains all.
Have a nice transition (or run away) from Opera. I did it recently and with success. But me, equally as You, badly need such graphic editor as the one offered in Opera, too. For the feedbacks here, for example. I've checked few days ago LibreOffice Draw, GNU/Edge and Opera to these drawing/commenting tasks. Opera is ,ekhm..., well, the Queen, or the King (?), in this competition.

- I understand the change in frequency for these updates reflecting the significant development already achieved. As a Canary users, receiving (mostly) daily builds, it would be useful to know when some of the particularly long-standing items are on the horizon.
I am thinking of the "Provide an option to prevent auto-play of video and audio when you open a website" item as an example. This has been on the list for 106 weeks as of the last update, which is more than two years. Similarly for, the "Tab set aside" alternative planned entry.
Even if it is only in the monthly status updates, it would be good to know if they are being progressed or if they are simply on still on the backlog list. - Hi MissyQ
Can you please help me with this?:
In one of my notebooks when I download a file the edge download folder is not on the top right of the browser, it shows in a differebt tile like in older versions of Edge.
Is there a way to put it wright?
Thanks Oh, how I want this "Enable additional options for viewing downloaded files, such as the bottom of the window" while Under Review to be reviewed and decided in favor of returning the download bar at the bottom of the window. I even complained about it as if it was not a behaviour change, but a bug, here CA ServiceDesk 12.9 attachment download issue starting Edge 93 - Microsoft Tech Community.
