Microsoft Edge "Save as" function not working for pdfs
Good day. Since the last Edge update, I have not been able to save pdf files(editable pdf). I have some 9 frequently used workspaces. When I want to open one of them only 6 are listed so I often must catch the narrow scrollbar to spot and select the right one. When trying to point to the scrollbar I often miss-click one of them. I'd prefer the list to be longer and the blank space between items smaller. Also it is very handy that icons there are respectively colored but it is just narrow lines. If the color appeared at a bigger surface it would be easier to spot the right one (like e.g. if one of the 3 sheets of the icon was filled). Mabye, making the list size parametrizable (6/12/24) or making the second line with tab count just optional (detailed/compact list layout) would solve this inconvenience. Thanks. Starting with Edge Beta 147.0.3912.26 as well as Edge Dev 148.0.3928.0 I'm facing the problem, that the so called "sensitive policies" (which need an MDM or AD-Joined Device) are blocked. Error-Message in edge://policy/ shows up with: This policy is blocked, its value will be ignored. Using Edge Stable 146.0.3856.84 works fine (on the same machine). Issue is only related to the so called "sensitive policies" and ist clearly new with Edge Beta 147.0.3912.26 as well as Edge Dev 148.0.3928.0 ... I didn't change anything except updating Edge Beta and Edge Dev ... and as I said: Edge Stable still works fine on the same machine. The Release Notes https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-relnote-beta-channel don't show any new changes regarding those "sensitive Policies". So what happened? Subject: Edge Sync Persistent Failure: "Our services aren't available" on syncreset page and Sync Engine stuck on "Initializing" Hi everyone, I’m seeking urgent help regarding a persistent Microsoft Edge sync issue that has lasted for several days across 5 different devices (4 Windows PCs and 1 iOS device). The Symptoms: Sync Engine Deadlock: On all my Windows devices, the edge://sync-internals page shows the Transport State as "Initializing" or "Backed off". The Total Entries often drop to 0, or it shows Network error (ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED). Server-Side Lockdown: I am unable to access the Edge sync reset page (https://edge.microsoft.com/syncreset) from ANY browser or ANY network environment (including mobile data and different VPN nodes). It consistently returns: "Our services aren't available. We're working to restore all services as soon as possible. Please check back soon." Question: Since the syncreset page is unavailable globally for my account, it seems to be a back-end identity/gateway issue rather than a local client error. I submitted this to the whole Microsoft feedback thing, and this is genuinely my only complaint about Edge. I have many bookmarks that I use regularly, and some do not have a default icon to match the site so I have to have the plain icon and the name so I can tell what it is. Having every bookmark with a plain icon and title takes a lot of space and sometimes forces some of them to be hidden which defeats the purpose of having quick bookmarks to access your most used sites. I feel like I rarely see any change with every edge update and I actually like using edge. I think it would be extremely helpful and a greater update if we were able to customize the icons for our bookmarks by either selecting our own images for icons or simply picking different colors for them. When editing a favorite, the dialog should not just offer to change its name and URL, but also the icon. I've been editing these PDFs using Microsoft Edge for a while now, but recently came across an issue. Whenever I go to save the edited PDF to a new folder, the preview and the saved PDF show the original information. I've tried saving the document using the save button, the save as button, and the print button (save as PDF). No matter which option I use, it will not save the new information. I've tried refreshing the page (which gets rid of all my edits), closing and reopening the PDF, closing and reopening Microsoft Edge, restarting my computer, and shutting down my computer completely. I've also tried checking for updates, clearing my browsing history, and resetting the settings. Since the latest Microsoft Edge update, the Tab Search panel opened with Ctrl + Shift + A has changed. It now opens on the side instead of in the center, and arrow key navigation no longer works. Only Tab navigation works now. This makes it much harder to use quickly. Is there any way to restore the previous centered Tab Search UI, or re-enable up and down arrow navigation, or undo this specific UI change? The old version worked perfectly for my workflow.
