Application Insights Smart Detection Email notification failure - 10/24 - Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 10/24, 10:30 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/24, 06:45 UTC and that during the 3 hours 45 minutes that it took to resolve the issue customers would have not received Smart Detection Email notifications.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to issue with our email notification service.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience missing Application Insights smart detection notification email from azure portal.
