Universal print would be a lot more useful if it provided support for both Windows and macOS devices as many enterprises support both platforms.

I have been battling with Microsoft for months on this, and even logged support calls, they have now update the Roadmap.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=124785This is now in Private Preview and apparently has been for a little while now, but they are no longer accepting signups to it, they say it will go Public Preview in January, and they are hopeful they will hit the roadmap target this time.
So fingers crossed - ScrJeffBrass Contributor
Ben_Vazquez I gave up last year and implemented Papercut Hive, which is a cloud/mesh solution and it is working well. Honestly, I'd go that direction if you are looking for a unified and well tested solution that doesn't need universal print or traditional print servers.

We're now heading into November and not so much as an update on this. I'm forced now to look at another product like PaperCut

Has there been any development on this? Feature on the Roadmap says Release should've been September but haven't found anything around this yet?

I looked at the design guide, and it appears this is using IPP, meaning that MacOS support should be an easy addition. I got very excited about the announcement, but was disappointed to see it's windows OS only. https://lamtoto.org/ In education, Macs are a huge installed base, and over 80% of our students have them despite no requirement by the college.

My Guess at this point given it is billed as "Native" support.
It will be baked into Sonoma, which is now in public preview and due for release in September, if anyone has a machine with the latest Sonoma preview, is it there ? - DaveUSQCopper Contributor
It is now August and still haven't seen anything, has anyone heard if the preview has been released yet?

Has anyone heard when the preview for this will come out? I see June listed on the roadmap but it's almost July now.

According to the design guide, it appears that this application will be based on IPP, so it shouldn't be too difficult to add support for MacOS as wellhttps://www.realstyle1.com/ After hearing about the announcement, I was very excited, but was disappointed to see that it was only going to be available for Windows OS. As you may know, Macs are a popular operating system in education, and over 80% of our students have them, although the college does not require them.
