Currently, if you are printing a document from Word that has a mixture of Portrait and Landscape orientation, the Universal Print Driver does not switch the orientations properly.
By way of an example, a document is made up of 3 pages:
Page 1: Portrait
Page 2: Landscape
Page 3: Portrait
Printing to a Universal Print Driver results in ALL pages printing in Portrait mode, with the intended Landscape Page 2 being shrunk down and printing with white space above and below the page.
Printing from PDF works absolutely fine with this scenario, with the page being rotated as planned.
I'd like Mixed Orientation Printing to be enhanced such that it works in all cases, from all applications.

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, the update won’t resolve our issue because we print from a SaaS application via Universal Print without Windows as the operating system in between. Do you see any possibility of integrating this feature directly into Universal Print? This would be crucial for connecting different SaaS applications to local printers, rather than having to implement this functionality separately in each application.

There's a Windows update that should be out by the end of September that has some updates to print orientation options that may make this possible. I say "may" because I don't know the specifics of your scenario and whether it's the same as what that update addresses. Please let us know if the update fixes this for you.

Rani_Abdellatif : thanks. do you have an update already whether a workaround exists or when this feature can be delivered?

Benjamin85, I'll check with the print engineering team to see if anyone is aware of a workaround.

Rani_Abdellatif can you help us solve this issue. I've seen that you put the feature request on "not planned" but I don't see a proper workaround which ensures that mixed orientation documents (PDF) are printed without shrinking to either portrait or landscape instead of rotating them

We develop a product that uses Universal Print as a printing solution for our customers. However, the absence of this functionality hinders what we would like to deliver to our customers. Is there any plan to implement this feature in the near future?

I can't confirm that printing with mixed orientation works for PDF files. We see the same behavior like described for word files in the PDF scenario as well.
We need this functionality for a microsoft partner app urgently

This feature is also very important for all our customers. At the moment we need to manually rotate single page to get a proper print result.
Feature will be very much appreciated from all our customers.
