Enterprises small and large support and use printers that include advanced functionality: Scan, collate, staple, etc. and expect to maintain that functionality if they're considering moving to Universal Print. UP should support most (not necessarily all) complex and advanced functions found in most organizations. (not necessarily thinking about toner levels and such as seen in HP Office Jet and DeskJet lines)

Some of this is already available in Universal Print ready printers. Most of the printer drivers on connector also support advanced functionality like Collate, Stapling etc.
Some items like scanning has already been filed as feature ask:
