Hi;
I like Copilot and find it useful to a point. Copilot automatically starting in my document is intrusive and interferes with my writing. I would prefer to toggle the function on and off.
When I am managing a document the Copilot icon along with some other functions make selecting and editing text difficult. Instead of being able to thoughtfully consider my writing I am forced to fight with Word for visual space on the page.
I would prefer that the Copilot in Word behave as it does in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote and only appear when selected.
Are there any plans to toggle on/off the 'draft' Copilot?

I strongly agree with you.

Can Microsoft enable its users to get rid of this stupidly annoying Copilot floating icon?! How can they be so dumb to force people to be actively disturbed when they try to write a text in Word or organise a slide in PowerPoint?! It’s a stupid thing that bothers and is impossible to remove! All articles I read so far are useless. It looks like its developers actually NEVER used PowerPoint or Word. TAKE IT OUT!

Is Microsoft actually listening to people who do not want Co Pilot automatically appearing when you start a new document? It needs to be an option you can turn on or off. Google docs is starting to look better.

I also support this. The icon appearing in the document is distracting.

Yes, I fully agree. It's an unnecessary irritant having the intrusive icons on top and in the body if word - so I've stopped using word for now until it's removed.
Thanks for listening to feedback on this and other matters

We have just deployed Copilot and we are getting complaints that Copilot editor located at the top of the body of the Word document and email body is very intrusive. Users are forced to click on it inadvertently because of it's location.

Completely agree - I have spent a lot of time trying to turn off the icon, which does not seem possible at this time. It is visually very distracting and has caused wasted time in all of my 365 applications. Please help!
