Trigger OnAppointmentSend API event in Outlook when a meeting is created from the calendar

According to current https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/outlook/onmessagesend-onappointmentsend-events?tabs=windows:

If the meeting being sent was created by selecting a date and time directly from the calendar (in Outlook), the OnAppointmentSend event doesn't occur.

It would make the OnAppointmentSend event much more useful, if it would also be triggered when a meeting is created from the calendar.
