Support for discontiguous Named Ranges in Excel Custom Functions

Currently, functions which accept a Range will work with a standard Range (A1:C3) or a named range of contiguous cells.  

Named ranges which are discontiguous (A1:C3, A5:C7) return #VALUE: A value used in this formula is of the wrong data type.

It would be great to see discontiguous named ranges have support with Excel's custom functions.
